TAX BILLS are mailed each year by October 15th and are due November 15th. Interest on unpaid taxes will be charged at 12% per annum after December 15th.
NOTE: Failure of the Oakland-Mapleville Fire District to send and/or the taxpayer to receive a tax bill will not excuse the non-payment of the tax or affect its validity or any proceedings for the collection of the tax. §RIGL 44-7-7
PAYMENTS may be mailed to the address below or paid in person at the Tax Collector’s Office located in the Fire Station at 46 Oakland School Street, Oakland. If mailed, post marks are accepted for interest purposes. Please make checks payable to Oakland Mapleville Fire District. Please do not send cash. There is a secure mail box located at the office entrance for your convenience when the office is closed.
PAYMENT PLAN options are offered by the District. If you have any questions or would like to set up a Payment Plan, please call the office.

TAX RATE
The 2022 Tax Rate is $2.21 per thousand dollars of valuation.
TAX SALE
Any account two (2) years past due will be sent to Tax Sale and this will incur additional charges. These charges will be added to the taxes and interested owed. These charges could add up to as much as $1000.
